At 4Design we have searched for what seems forever for a complete reseller hosting platform for our design/development clients. We needed a platform that would provide us with a hosting department straight out of the box. Every aspect of our hosting service needed to be tailored to our unique needs and be fully branded to our business. Most importantly we required an automated hosting system that would double as billing management platform, accepting both local (South African Rand) payments via EFT and credit card as well as international US Dollar payments. We also needed a hosting provider who would be willing to support our large hosting client base transparently as 4Design Creative Media support services. Building a Control Panel from Scratch

Lusion Technologies is currently a baby in terms of hosting company size (we only run two servers, with a little over 300 websites) even though we have been around for almost five years. Over the last few months we’ve been pushing Lusion, with some new advertising and this blog, but now we’re starting work on our largest project (especially since we’re only a two man team at the moment) — a control panel designed and built specifically for our clients.

Updates

Not that our hosting went anywhere but we’re busy introducing a load of new features, and you can expect a constant stream of new features from now on.

Among the updates in the last month are

  • Optional account payment and renewal by credit card
  • An upgrade to CPanel 11 which means higher security, better spam control and a new design thats both more powerful and easier to use
  • Switching off php safe_mode, which means less hassles in getting your sites set up
  • A whole lot of advertising
  • A blog :)
